Every author on this page is scored on seven signals: recent follower growth, story reads, likes, comments, bookmarks, posting consistency, and reader completion rate. We weight each section differently — Fastest Growing leans on growth, Most Engaging leans on per-read engagement and completion — so writers with small but loyal audiences show up next to writers with big ones.

Follower count alone is never enough to land here. A writer with 100k followers who ships once a year won't outrank a new voice with 2k followers whose readers finish every chapter.

Fake engagement & paid manipulation

• Growth is scaled by absolute new followers, so bot-farmed spikes on tiny bases can't dominate.
• Engagement-per-read must be plausible for the growth rate — implausible ratios are flagged and excluded from featured sections.
• Reader completion rate is a first-class signal; drive-by follows without reads don't count.
• Follower & engagement patterns are checked for velocity anomalies (sudden burst followed by silence).
• Paid promotions never influence ranking. Sponsored placements, when they exist, are labeled and sit outside these lists.
